Las Vegas, Nevada - Fortune Entertainment Corp. (FEC) has announced
that the company will be refining its corporate direction and will
not be proceeding
with making Fortune Tournament Poker available to the internet as they
had announced in a news release dated August 24, 1999. This refinement
of corporate
direction is in conjunction with the Company being awarded an initial
(90) day Supplier License from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians
and
sponsorship received from the Band in August with Gaming Labs
International (GLI). Gaming Labs International is the official
testing
laboratory for all floor games and machines used in Indians Casinos
in
the United States, and FEC is also pleased to announce that its core
product, The Fortune Tournament Poker System is about to enter
testing.
Fortune Entertainment is extremely pleased to have been awarded this
Suppliers license from the Mille Lacs Band, the operators of the fourth
largest Indian Casino in the United States with gross revenues of
approximately $2 Million per day. Mr. William Danton, President
and CEO
of Fortune Entertainment states, “As we previously reported, we are
excited to be associated with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians
in
Minnesota as one of the premier casino operators in American Indian
Gaming. This provides not only an excellent opportunity for FEC
in the
marketing of its Fortune Tournament Poker System, but other newly
developed and emerging games coming from Fortune Entertainment.
We have
decided that it is more appropriate now for the Company to focus its
efforts towards core product roll-out, distribution and new product
development, as well as premier technology collaborations that will
be
more fully reported on at a later date. The Company continues
to move
forward towards its goal of increasing shareholder value and bringing
its innovative products to the enormous and growing gaming market.”
Fortune Entertainment corporation develops and manufactures proprietary
and patented casino floor products. ‘Fortune Tournament Poker’
is a
machine and tournament based poker game, which has been legally defined
as a game of skill, and ‘Rainbow 21’ .
